The Tamil Nadu Youth Congress demanded a ban on the film Parasakthi immediately. They alleged that the movie distorts historical facts involving the Congress party unfairly. The leaders labelled the film as pro-DMK and anti-Hindu, targeting their political image. The organisation criticised actor Sivakarthikeyan for participating in a movie spreading controversial narratives.

Parasakthi focuses on the 1960s student movement and anti-Hindi protests in Tamil Nadu. The film released on January 10 with twenty-five cuts by the censor board. Senior Youth Congress leader Arun Bhaskar called the movie pro-DMK with anti-Hindu bias. He argued that the story intentionally portrayed Tamil pride against the Hindu community negatively.

Tamil Nadu: Youth Congress Demands Action Against Misleading Scenes

Bhaskar claimed the movie falsely showed only Hindi permitted in post office forms. He said this scene deliberately misrepresented the 1965 language controversy to malign Congress. The film depicts Sivakarthikeyan meeting Indira Gandhi, but Bhaskar said this meeting never occurred. He also called the burning train scene in front of Gandhi completely baseless nonsense.

Bhaskar condemned the climax showing real photographs accusing Congress of mass killings. He argued that no evidence supports the claim against Congress in Pollachi killings. The Youth Congress demanded removal of false scenes and a public apology immediately. They warned that legal action would follow if the producers refused to comply promptly.
