Following the event, Chief Justice Gavai proceeded to the Supreme Court, where he joined his colleagues for tea before starting the day’s hearings. Gavai will continue to preside over the Bench, working closely with Justice Augustine George Masih to hear and decide on critical cases. His leadership marks a new chapter for the Court, with a focus on efficiency and justice.

Chief Justice B.R. Chief Justice Gavai will convene a key meeting with all Supreme Court judges to outline his judicial vision, set the agenda for the coming months, and invite suggestions for institutional improvement. With only 10 days remaining before the Supreme Court’s annual summer recess, the court will continue limited operations, with at least three Benches scheduled to hear important cases during the break.
