Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo has officially stepped back into the competitive VALORANT scene, joining Sentinels’ academy roster, Cubert Academy, as a last-minute substitute for the VCT Challengers Stage 2 Playoffs. He fills in for Logan ‘skuba’ Jenkins, who recently transferred to NRG. TenZ will play with the team until they secure a permanent replacement.
TenZ announced his return on social media, stating, “Going to be subbing in playoffs for Cubert Academy, will be streaming my POV on my channels! Time to make my Challengers debut.” This marks his first appearance in the Challengers League, and fans are buzzing with excitement.

The VALORANT star will make his debut against Winthrop University on May 20 in a best-of-three series. The match is expected to attract massive viewership, as fans eagerly anticipate his return to the pro stage. VCT North America will stream the game live on its official Twitch and YouTube channels. In addition, multiple content creators will host watch parties, giving fans more ways to engage with the high-stakes matchup.
TenZ originally retired from professional VALORANT in 2024 and remained with Sentinels as a content creator. After recently parting ways with the organization, he now rejoins the scene temporarily. Sentinels CEO Rob Moore welcomed him back with a post saying, “I guess he’s back! When Sen needs a super sub there is only one man to call @TenZOfficial!”
Cubert Academy enters the playoffs in the Upper Quarterfinals of the double-elimination bracket. While they have already secured a spot in Challengers North America Stage 3, they remain ineligible for VCT Ascension Americas 2025, as academy teams from partnered organizations cannot qualify. However, Cubert Academy is also safe from relegation, giving them a stable ground for development and competition.
