Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has issued a stark warning about the current global climate, stating that ongoing conflicts across the world could potentially escalate into a world war at any time. Speaking at the launch of the book ‘Beyond Borders’ on Monday, Gadkari highlighted the growing tensions between Israel and Iran, as well as the prolonged war between Russia and Ukraine, as signs of a rapidly deteriorating global situation.
He emphasized that the atmosphere of conflict is spreading worldwide. “There is an atmosphere of conflict all over the world due to the wars between Israel and Iran, and Russia and Ukraine,” Gadkari said. Gadkari also raised concerns about how technological advancements have transformed modern warfare. He noted that wars are no longer confined to soldiers on the battlefield. “Civilians are now directly targeted through missiles, drones, and other advanced technologies. The traditional role of tanks and aircraft has diminished,” he stated.
