    BOMB THREATs

Army Public School in Delhi Cantonment received a bomb threat email on Monday, prompting authorities to evacuate students and staff while security agencies searched the premises. Officials later confirmed that they found nothing suspicious.

An official from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said the department received a call about the threat at 8:50 am. Fire officials, along with the Bomb Detection Team (BDT), Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), and Dog Squad, immediately reached the school and conducted a thorough inspection.

Army Public School in Delhi Cantonment Evacuated After Bomb Threat Email; No Suspicious Object Found

This marks the third such incident in the past month in which schools have received bomb threat emails.

Earlier, on February 13, unidentified individuals sent threat emails to around a dozen schools, including Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate, Kendriya Vidyalaya in Gole Market, and Delhi Tamil Education Association on Pusa Road.

On February 9, authorities responded to bomb threat emails sent to nearly 12 schools, including Delhi Public School, Bal Bharati in Rohini, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya. Officials later declared those threats a hoax.

On January 29, at least eight schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails from an unknown sender who reportedly used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to conceal their identity. Police have solved only a few cases so far.

Over the past 18 months, schools, colleges, and government institutions have received more than 50 similar threat emails. Investigators have made limited progress in identifying the culprits.

Police have solved only those cases in which school students sent threats without using a VPN. However, most of the targeted institutions continue to be schools in Delhi.

In the past six months alone, Delhi schools have received more than a dozen such emails. Each time, authorities have followed standard evacuation and security protocols.
