    Nuclear

The recent global nuclear strikes on Iran have pushed several countries in Europe and Asia to rethink their stance on nuclear weapons. Nations like Japan, South Korea, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia are now exploring their own nuclear capabilities. This reflects growing security concerns. It also shows weakening trust in traditional alliances as global tensions rise.

Within a year, Iran has faced two major attacks from the United States and Israel. Both aimed to curb its nuclear ambitions. However, instead of stopping proliferation, these actions have increased uncertainty. The conflict, now lasting several weeks, has intensified fears. As a result, more countries are rethinking their nuclear policies and long-term strategies.

Many nations that once relied on the US nuclear umbrella are now questioning that dependence. In Europe, Germany and Poland are exploring closer cooperation with France for nuclear deterrence. In Asia, concerns are rising due to China and Russia’s growing arsenals. North Korea’s missile advances add to the pressure. Even Japan, with its anti-nuclear history, is reconsidering its position.

At the same time, trust in global nuclear agreements is weakening. The US has signaled interest in resuming nuclear testing. It has also expanded nuclear cooperation talks with Saudi Arabia. These moves have raised concerns among experts. They have also fueled fears of selective enforcement of nuclear rules. This increases the risk of more countries pursuing nuclear weapons.

Experts warn that this trend could trigger a dangerous chain reaction. Nuclear weapons may act as a deterrent. However, their spread raises the risk of conflict and instability. Arms control agreements are weakening. More countries now have the technical ability to build such weapons. As a result, the world faces a renewed and more dangerous nuclear arms race.
