T-Series Films revealed Varun Dhawan’s first look from his upcoming film Border 2 on Wednesday through an Instagram post. The poster features Varun in a soldier’s uniform, exuding an intense expression as he charges into battle with a gun in hand and a fierce look on his face. The caption said, “Border uska farz hai aur Bharat uska pyaar (Border is his duty and India his love)!” Border 2 will release on January 23, 2026.

Varun Dhawan Unveils Intense First Look from Border 2
Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, will star Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta will produce the film, which is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026. The movie continues the story of the 1997 blockbuster Border, which featured Sunny Deol alongside Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry, and Puneet Issar. Directed by J P Dutta, the original film became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 1997 and depicted a crucial chapter from the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Bhushan Kumar explained that Border goes beyond being just a film—it’s an emotion for every Indian. He added that with Border 2, they aim to carry forward that legacy and introduce it to a new generation, while the extended Republic Day weekend will allow audiences more time to experience the film in theaters.
