Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s war drama continues its strong run at the box office, crossing the ₹250-crore mark globally within just four days of release. The film witnessed a massive boost over the extended Republic Day weekend, driven by positive audience response and holiday footfalls.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in key roles. The film opened on a solid note with ₹30 crore net collection on Day 1, despite several morning shows being cancelled. Over the next few days, collections showed steady growth.
On Republic Day (Day 4), the film recorded its biggest domestic single-day figure so far, minting ₹59 crore net in India. With this, Border 2 has amassed ₹180 crore net (approximately ₹212.5 crore gross) at the Indian box office over its extended opening weekend.

Internationally, the war drama has also performed impressively, earning close to $4.3 million overseas. This brings its total worldwide gross to around ₹251 crore in just four days.
With this achievement, Border 2 has become only the seventh Hindi film since last year to surpass the ₹250-crore milestone globally. The film has also overtaken the lifetime worldwide collections of Salman Khan’s Sikandar (₹184 crore) and Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 (₹243 crore). Trade analysts expect the film to cross the ₹300-crore mark by midweek.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, and Anya Singh in pivotal roles. The film is a spiritual sequel to J.P. Dutta’s iconic 1997 blockbuster Border and marks Bollywood’s first major tentpole release of 2026.
