Actor Ranveer Singh shared a cryptic note after his latest film Dhurandhar became a blockbuster in India. On Monday, he wrote on his Instagram Stories, “Fate has a very beautiful habit that it changes with time… but for now… evil eye and patience.” In the post, Ranveer reflected on destiny, the evil eye, and patience. His film Dhurandhar has so far earned over ₹350 crore in India.
Dhurandhar continues its record-breaking run at the box office, smashing previous second-Saturday records and solidifying its position among the biggest hits in Hindi cinema. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on X that the film earned ₹53.70 crore on its second Saturday, the highest ever in the history of Hindi cinema, surpassing films like Pushpa 2 Hindi (₹46.50 cr), Chhapaak (₹44.10 cr), and Stree 2 (₹33.80 cr). According to him, Dhurandhar now competes head-on with the biggest blockbusters in the industry.
Dhurandhar Explores India-Pakistan Conflict
Dhurandhar tells the story of Indian spy Hamza, who infiltrates Pakistan to join gangster Rehman Dakait’s gang. The film draws inspiration from real events, including the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, giving audiences a glimpse into the India-Pakistan conflict. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the film stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles. The second part of the film will release in theatres next year on March 19.
