    Security

With New Year celebrations approaching, police across the country are boosting security to prevent public disorder and ensure safety. Authorities have deployed additional personnel at major hotspots and are using advanced technology to monitor crowds during peak hours. In Delhi alone, around 3,000 police personnel patrol the city, and over 50 checkpoints monitor traffic and conduct breathalyser tests for drunk driving. Joint Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Jain said police deployed both static and mobile patrol teams and identified around 60 party zones, including malls, markets, and nightclubs, for intensive checks. Control rooms actively prevent violations, and police remain highly visible on roads to enforce rules, manage traffic, and reassure the public.
