Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday referred to India while commenting on the ongoing Middle East conflict. He also warned that a regime change in Iran could bring Tehran, New Delhi and Afghanistan together against Pakistan.
In a detailed post on social media platform X, Asif further claimed that a “Zionist” agenda is driving the war on Iran. According to him, the aim is to expand Israel’s influence up to Pakistan’s borders. Moreover, he said that despite Iran showing willingness to reach an agreement, certain forces still imposed the war to advance that objective.
Asif accuses Zionist agenda of fueling Iran war
Pakistan has repeatedly accused India of using the Taliban as a proxy. However, New Delhi has denied the allegation. Now, Khawaja Asif says a regime change in Iran could align Afghanistan, Iran and India against Pakistan.
In his post, Asif said such an alliance would directly target Pakistan. He further warned that it could weaken border security and encircle the country with adversaries. As a result, he added, Pakistan could be reduced to a “vassal state.”
Meanwhile, Asif, who often uses strong rhetoric against India, also urged Pakistan’s 250 million citizens to recognise what he called a conspiracy against the country. Moreover, he asked people across political and religious lines to understand the intentions of what he described as Pakistan’s “eternal enemies.”

Asif says Israeli plan could make Pakistan a vassal state with India included
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif claimed that Zionist forces are driving the US-Israel conflict with Iran to weaken Pakistan. He said the goal is to turn Pakistan into a “vassal state.”
Asif warned that an Israeli victory could bring India, Afghanistan and Iran together against Pakistan. He said they could adopt a shared agenda of hostility towards Islamabad. The recent US and Israeli strikes on Iran have raised concerns in Pakistan, which shares a 900-km border with Iran. On Tuesday, Asif described the conflict as part of a “Zionist plan” targeting Pakistan.
