Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that military action alone cannot solve global conflicts. He stressed that India supports dialogue, diplomacy, and the rule of law to resolve disputes. Modi made these remarks after meeting Finnish President Alexander Stubb in New Delhi. He added that India will continue to support efforts that promote peace in West Asia and Ukraine.
During the talks, Modi said India and Finland share similar views on international conflicts. Both countries believe that dialogue and diplomacy offer the best path to peace. He noted that nations should focus on cooperation instead of military confrontation. According to him, peaceful engagement can help resolve many global tensions.
Modi also highlighted the need to reform global institutions. He said international bodies must adapt to growing global challenges. Referring to reforms in the United Nations Security Council, he stressed that change is both necessary and urgent. He also reaffirmed the joint commitment to eliminate terrorism in all forms.

President Stubb discussed the ongoing conflicts in West Asia and Ukraine. He said the Russia–Ukraine war has lasted too long and needs a resolution. Stubb added that lasting peace must respect the principles of the United Nations. He said ending the war would benefit the entire global community.
Meanwhile, India expressed concern over rising tensions in the Gulf region. The Ministry of External Affairs said the situation could affect Indian citizens, trade, and regional stability. India also contacted leaders from Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait. New Delhi urged all sides to restore peace through dialogue and diplomacy.
