PM Modi Begins Two-Day Israel Visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for a two-day visit to Israel. This is his second visit after his historic 2017 trip. That visit opened new areas of cooperation in defence, agriculture, and water management.
Before leaving, PM Modi said he looks forward to meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said the visit will help strengthen ties between the two countries.
Focus on Strategic Partnership
PM Modi said India and Israel share a strong and growing Strategic Partnership. He plans to discuss cooperation in science, technology, innovation, defence, trade, and investment.
He also said both leaders will exchange views on regional and global issues.
The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the visit will review common challenges. It will also help both nations set new goals for future cooperation.
Historic Address at the Knesset
During the visit, PM Modi will meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog. He will also become the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset.
PM Modi said this moment reflects the strong democratic ties between the two nations.
Strengthening Future Cooperation
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu welcomed PM Modi’s visit. He described him as a close friend and called the visit historic.
Both leaders are expected to boost cooperation in high-tech sectors. These include artificial intelligence and quantum technology. They aim to build a strong and innovative future together.
PM Modi also said he looks forward to meeting the Indian diaspora in Israel.
