After Shashi Tharoor released his opinion piece, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla praised the Congress MP, calling him a “Khatron ke Khiladi” for directly criticizing Rahul Gandhi as a “nepo kid.”Poonawalla called the piece “insightful” and told ANI that Tharoor highlighted how the Gandhi-Badra dynasty has reinforced the negative notion that political power and position can be a birthright.
BJP Leaders Back Tharoor’s Critique of Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty
BJP leaders, including Shehzad Poonawalla and CR Kesavan, have strongly supported Shashi Tharoor’s article, with Kesavan calling it a “truth bomb” that exposes how the Nehru-Gandhi family has hijacked leadership in an undemocratic manner. He also suggested that Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi might take Tharoor’s article personally but emphasized that people should praise Tharoor for his candid stance. Kesavan further remarked that Tharoor’s critique shows how the Congress party’s dynastic hold has stifled him as well. The article comes just days before the Bihar elections, where the NDA alliance, led by BJP and JD(U), faces off against the Mahagatbandhan alliance, including RJD and Congress.
