Bengaluru South Police have arrested a couple for allegedly murdering a gig worker, Darshan. The incident, initially registered as an accident, was later revealed to be a deliberate attack. On October 25, Darshan and his friend Varun were chased and rammed by a speeding car. The altercation began when Darshan’s bike brushed against the car, breaking its side mirror. Enraged by this, the driver chased the two-wheeler and deliberately rammed it from behind. CCTV footage revealed that the car had intentionally followed and hit the victims, indicating premeditation.

Bengaluru Details of the Incident: Darshan Dies, Varun Seriously Injured
The accused couple, Manoj Sharma and Aarti, later returned to the scene to collect car parts. They were seen wearing masks while attempting to destroy evidence and cover up their crime. After further investigation, the case was reclassified as murder under Section 302 of IPC. The couple was arrested and presented before the court, and the investigation continues. The tragic incident occurred around 11:30 pm in the Sri Rama Temple area, Bengaluru. Darshan was killed on the spot after the car rammed into his two-wheeler from behind. His friend, Varun, who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries in the road rage incident.
The case was initially thought to be an accident, but further review led to murder charges. The couple’s intentional actions have shocked the community, with the authorities pressing full charges. Manoj Sharma, a physical education teacher, and his wife Aarti are accused of committing the murder. The couple’s attempt to destroy evidence showed clear intent to cover up their violent act.
