Punjab YouTuber Jasbir Singh Arrested in Major Espionage Crackdown
Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav posted on X (formerly Twitter) that SSOC Mohali unearthed a critical espionage network linked to Jasbir Singh, a resident of Village Mahlan, Rupnagar, after acting swiftly on actionable intelligence.
Investigations revealed that Jasbir Singh attended the Pakistan National Day event in Delhi at Danish’s invitation, where he met Pakistani Army officials and vloggers. He traveled to Pakistan three times (2020, 2021, and 2024), and authorities found multiple Pakistan-based numbers on his devices, now under forensic scrutiny. After Jyoti Malhotra’s arrest, Jasbir tried to erase traces of his communications with these individuals to avoid detection, DGP Gaurav Yadav added. The SSOC in Mohali has registered an FIR in connection with this case.
