Anurag Singh’s directorial Border 2 recently crossed the major milestone of ₹300 crore at the Indian box office. However, the film’s earnings have started slowing down, with daily collections staying in single digits for more than a week. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie earned around ₹2.5 crore on day 19 of its theatrical release based on early estimates.
While the final figures are still awaited, the film’s worldwide box office collection has reached approximately ₹464.22 crore, as reported by Bollywood Hungama. The film has maintained a strong global performance even though its domestic earnings have shown a decline in recent days.
On Tuesday, Border 2 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 13.59%. The film opened with a modest 6.28% occupancy in morning shows, which gradually increased to 11.96% in afternoon screenings. The occupancy further improved to 15.19% in evening shows, while night shows registered the highest audience turnout at 20.94%.

Despite the drop in collections, Border 2 has emerged as Sunny Deol’s second highest-grossing film. His biggest box office success continues to be Gadar 2, which collected nearly ₹525 crore net in India and approximately ₹686 crore worldwide.
Meanwhile, producer Nidhi Dutta highlighted a more emotional aspect of the film’s success. She expressed happiness that audiences understood her vision behind the project and said her main goal was to honour her father, filmmaker JP Dutta’s legacy. She also mentioned that her father is proud of the film and has never measured success purely through box office numbers.
