    Air India has called off its flights on Tuesday from cities like Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot. Both Air India and IndiGo suddenly suspended operations to multiple cities in northern and western India, citing “developments and security concerns.” The airlines mentioned that the cancellations were due to “recent developments,” emphasizing that ensuring passenger safety is their main priority.

    Tata Group-owned Air India has announced the cancellation of flights to and from several northern and western Indian cities including Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot for Tuesday, May 13. The decision was taken “in view of the latest developments and keeping your safety in mind,” the airline stated in an official post.

    India’s largest budget airline, IndiGo, also issued a similar advisory, suspending its flight operations to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot. While neither airline specified the exact nature of the “developments,” both hinted that the move was a precautionary measure in response to evolving security or operational scenarios.

    Airlines advise passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport and stay updated through official channels. Both Air India and IndiGo assure passengers that they are actively monitoring the situation and will resume operations as soon as it is safe. They urge travelers to stay connected through their websites or customer support for the latest updates and to make alternate travel arrangements if needed. Passenger safety remains the top priority during this time of uncertainty.
