Adityanath promotes UP as hub for AI and tech investments

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday called 2026 a pivotal year for Uttar Pradesh. He highlighted the state’s rise as a global center for artificial intelligence and the digital economy. In a detailed message on X, the stated that 2025 set new benchmarks in innovation, data, and future-focused development. He said the state is progressing toward becoming a future-ready investment hub. Tha Adityanath stated that investments can flourish only in a secure state and society. He added that robust governance has enhanced “Brand UP” on the global stage. He noted that strong governance has turned the state into a reliable destination for investors.

Adityanath announces plans underway to develop AI-driven cities in Lucknow and Noida

The Chief Minister stated that the government is developing AI cities in Lucknow and Noida. Officials are establishing a ₹3,700 crore semiconductor unit in Jewar. He highlighted that the state’s data centre policy emphasizes local infrastructure and data security. The policy is yielding results, with five hyperscale data centre parks now operational for commercial use. More than 10 lakh citizens are receiving AI training under the ‘AI Pragya’ initiative, which has also generated thousands of new employment opportunities.

Adityanath urged young people to actively participate by taking a pledge for 2026. They should promote computer and AI awareness among at least five children in their communities and devote one hour each week to ‘gyaan-daan’. The data centre policy, emphasizing local and secure centres, continues to produce tangible results. The government aims to attract ₹30,000 crore in data centre investments, while software technology parks have been set up in nine cities. Uttar Pradesh is also making progress in drone technology, robotics, and mobile manufacturing.
