Chennai: Indian Institute of Technology Madras Pravartak, the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Madras supported by the Department of Science and Technology, has launched a four-month executive programme in Generative AI and Agentic AI tools for business professionals. The institute is offering the course in collaboration with Emeritus to equip working professionals with practical, application-oriented AI skills. Notably, the programme welcomes participants from diverse backgrounds and does not require prior coding or technical expertise.
According to a press statement, the institute has designed the programme to enable professionals to integrate Generative AI and Agentic AI into core business workflows. In particular, it has tailored the curriculum for executives, managers, consultants, entrepreneurs and functional leaders across strategy, operations, marketing, finance, human resources, consulting and product management. Moreover, the course emphasises no-code and low-code tools so that participants can drive AI adoption effectively in real-world business environments.

IIT Madras Pravartak Stresses Real-World AI Application
The four-month programme offers more than 20 hands-on projects and over 25 business-centric use cases, enabling participants to apply concepts progressively throughout their learning journey. Speaking on the launch, Laxminarayan G, Guest Faculty at IITM Pravartak, said Generative AI and Agentic AI are transforming the way organisations operate and compete. He emphasised that the programme equips business professionals with applied AI expertise that drives measurable workplace impact and prepares them to lead confidently in an AI-driven economy.
The institute will commence the online programme on March 30, 2026. It invites applications from graduates and diploma holders with at least five years of work experience. The institute designed the eligibility criteria to ensure participants bring sufficient industry exposure to benefit fully from the applied, business-focused curriculum. Mid- and senior-level professionals looking to strengthen their strategic decision-making with AI capabilities can particularly gain from the course. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official programme portal, in line with the institute’s selection process and admission guidelines.
