    Ranveer Singh’s spy action thriller “Dhurandhar” is now tax-free in the Union Territory of Ladakh, following an announcement by Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta. The LG’s office shared the decision on Friday to promote cinema and tourism in the region. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has achieved massive box-office success since its early December release. It has crossed ₹1,100 crore worldwide, placing it among the highest-grossing Indian films in recent years.

    Dhurandhar Declared Tax-Free in Ladakh

    The Lieutenant Governor said the film was shot extensively in Ladakh, highlighting the region’s stunning landscapes. The LG Kavinder Gupta stated that the decision shows the administration’s strong support for the creative industry. He noted that the movie presents Ladakh as an attractive and filmmaker-friendly destination. He added that the move aligns with Ladakh’s goal to become a hub for film production and tourism.

    He also confirmed that the administration is working on a new film policy and will extend full support to future film projects. Despite strong competition from other major releases, Dhurandhar continues to perform well in theatres, strengthening Ladakh’s cinematic appeal.
