    The National Commission for Women (NCW) has strongly supported Himanshi, the wife of Indian Navy officer Vinay Narwal, who died in the recent Pahalgam terror attack. The commission emphasized that people must express differing opinions respectfully and within constitutional limits. It firmly condemned those who trolled Himanshi for her ideological views. The NCW issued this statement after witnessing the growing online trolled against her.

    Following the tragic incident, Himanshi publicly urged citizens to avoid harboring hatred toward Muslims or Kashmiris. She called for unity and compassion, warning against allowing violence to create communal rifts. She delivered her message with the intention of promoting peace. However, some individuals responded with backlash and online abuse, prompting the NCW to intervene.

    Vinay Narwal and Himanshi had married just a week before terrorists attacked them on April 22 in Baisaran, near Pahalgam. The couple was on their honeymoon when the terrorists shot Vinay point-blank. The attack killed 26 people, turning a joyful trip into a tragic memory. The nation mourned the loss of the young naval officer.

    On Thursday, Himanshi made an emotional appeal to the public. She requested everyone to pray for Vinay’s peace, wherever he may be. She also pleaded with people to stop spreading hatred, especially toward Muslims and Kashmiris. Himanshi firmly said that they only wanted peace—not division or revenge.
