    At the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, top military officials from India and Pakistan, including India’s Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Pakistan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, engaged in discussions amid rising tensions between the two countries. Both generals exchanged warnings, with General Chauhan emphasizing India’s firm stance on its red line against terrorism.

    While the two nations remain geographically close, their senior military leaders participated in separate but simultaneous conference sessions covering topics such as defense innovation and regional crisis management. According to news agency PTI, these parallel meetings took place late on Saturday afternoon in neighboring conference rooms within the Shangri-La venue.

    India-Pakistan Military Chiefs Exchange Warnings at Shangri-La Dialogue

    Speaking at the event, CDS General Anil Chauhan, referring to Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, said, “What India has done, politically, they have drawn a new red line of intolerance against terror.” “I hope this particular operation, it is basically lying in military domain, that should bring about some lessons for our adversary also, and hopefully they learn that this is a limit of India’s tolerance,” PTI quoted Anil Chauhan as saying.

    The CDS stated that the India has been subjected to a proxy war of terror for more than two decades, resulting in the loss of many innocent lives and immense suffering across the nation. He emphasized the country’s firm determination to put an end to this prolonged and devastating conflict and expressed the hope of achieving lasting peace, security, and stability in the entire region for future generations to thrive and prosper peacefully.
