Popular Odia singer Humane Sagar passed away on Monday evening at the age of 36. According to Odisha TV, doctors admitted him to the emergency ward of AIIMS Bhubaneswar three days earlier due to severe health complications. Despite placing him on life support, his condition showed no significant improvement.

Popular Odia singer Humane Sagar died at the age of 36. Dr. Srikant Behera of AIIMS Bhubaneswar confirmed the news and stated in a medical bulletin that doctors admitted Sagar to the hospital on November 14 with multiple severe health issues, including bilateral pneumonia, liver failure, heart complications, and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome. Despite receiving aggressive and advanced treatment from a team of specialists, his condition worsened, and he passed away at 9:08 PM on November 17, 2025. Tributes poured in from across Odisha, with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi expressing deep sorrow over the loss. He called it an irreparable blow to Odia music and cinema and extended condolences to the family while praying for the departed soul’s peace.
Odia Singer Humane Sagar Mourned by Fans and Leaders
Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik mourned Humane Sagar’s death on X, expressing deep sadness over the loss. He praised the singer’s soulful music and lasting contributions to Odia music while offering condolences to the bereaved family. Fans shared their grief, with many recalling how his music touched their lives. One fan wrote, “Thanks for making our college days memorable, I will miss your voice,” while another said, “You left too soon. RIP.” Humane Sagar, born in Titilagarh, Bolangir, rose to fame after winning Voice of Odisha Season 2 in 2012. He debuted as a playback singer in 2015 with Ishq Tu Hi Tu and became one of Odisha’s most beloved artists, known for his emotional renditions.
