    Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kartavya Bhavan-03, marking a significant step in administrative transformation.This modern complex is part of the Central Vista redevelopment project aimed at administrative efficiency.It symbolizes a new era in India’s governance through enhanced infrastructure and inter-ministerial collaboration.Government officials, dignitaries, and ministry representatives attended the grand inauguration ceremony on August 6, 2025.PM Modi emphasized Kartavya Bhavan’s role in facilitating seamless governance for better public service delivery.

    Kartavya Bhavan-03 Inaugurated by PM Modi as a New Administrative Landmark

    The Ministry of Home Affairs will relocate its operations to the newly opened Kartavya Bhavan-03.It will share the space with the Ministry of External Affairs in this modern infrastructure hub.The move enables both ministries to work efficiently in a technologically advanced and eco-friendly space.Officials believe this relocation will improve security coordination and diplomatic communication at national and international levels.Kartavya Bhavan will serve as a hub for quick decision-making and effective policy implementation nationwide.

    Kartavya Bhavan-03 also accommodates the Ministries of Rural Development and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.These ministries play a key role in empowering villages and supporting entrepreneurs in diverse economic sectors.Officials expect the new working environment to enhance collaboration and speed up scheme execution processes.The government is focusing on inclusive growth by providing infrastructure to ministries serving grassroots development.PM Modi reiterated the Centre’s commitment to rural progress and self-reliant small businesses across India.

    Home Ministry and External Affairs Among Key Offices Shifting to New Bhavan

    The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) will also function from the new Kartavya Bhavan premises.Its relocation will help streamline training programs and improve recruitment processes across government departments.The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will also gain access to state-of-the-art digital systems.This shift ensures better coordination for energy strategies and implementation of sustainable fuel policies.The Bhavan’s facilities aim to increase operational efficiency and cut down on unnecessary bureaucratic delays.

    The Principal Scientific Adviser’s Office will also be based in Kartavya Bhavan-03, reflecting its growing importance.This move places science and technology closer to decision-making hubs in the national administrative framework.Officials expect closer coordination between scientific experts and policymakers on national development strategies.Modern infrastructure at the Bhavan will help host innovation summits, briefings, and collaborative research meetings.PM Modi highlighted the role of science in shaping India’s future as a developed knowledge economy.
