NDA MLAs Unite to Demand Return of Popular Government in Manipur

During the previous Parliament session, Amit Shah explained that President’s Rule was imposed because no one came forward to form the government following N Biren Singh’s resignation. However, since April, NDA MLAs — including Singh himself, his supporters, and even those who had opposed him — have been advocating for the return of an elected government. They argue that President’s Rule lacks public backing and that there has been little progress in restoring normalcy in the state.
