England’s veteran pacer James Anderson has expressed disbelief and immense pride over the renaming of the India vs England Test series trophy as the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Replacing the historic Pataudi Trophy, the new title marks a tribute to two legends of the game James Anderson and Sachin Tendulkar ahead of the upcoming five-match Test series starting June 20.

I looked up to Sachin when I was growing up… Between them, the duo boasts a staggering 388 Test appearances Tendulkar with a record 15,921 Test runs and Anderson with 704 wickets, making him the most successful fast bowler in the format. James Anderson feels honored as the India-England Test series trophy is named after him and Sachin Tendulkar, a true legend.
