Royal Challengers Bengaluru stormed into the IPL 2026 final after crushing Gujarat Titans by 92 runs. RCB delivered a dominant all-round performance during Qualifier 1 at the Dharamsala Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Captain Rajat Patidar led from the front with an unbeaten innings of 93 off 33 deliveries. RCB posted a massive total of 254/5 after accelerating aggressively during the final overs against Gujarat Titans. The Bengaluru franchise secured consecutive IPL final appearances with one of the tournament’s biggest playoff victories ever. RCB also registered the second-largest win by runs in IPL playoff history with this commanding triumph.

Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal provided Bengaluru a steady opening partnership during the powerplay overs early. Kohli smashed 43 runs while Padikkal contributed 30 before Gujarat Titans attempted slowing the scoring momentum. Patidar survived two dropped catches and punished Gujarat bowlers with fearless strokeplay throughout his explosive innings. The RCB captain hammered nine sixes and five boundaries while completely dominating the Titans bowling attack. Krunal Pandya supported brilliantly with 43 runs as Bengaluru collected 114 runs during the final six overs. RCB added 86 runs during the last five overs to finish with a gigantic first-innings total.

IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans Collapse As RCB Bowlers Dominate Qualifier 1

Gujarat Titans failed chasing the massive target after losing crucial wickets inside the powerplay against Bengaluru bowlers. Sai Sudharsan suffered an unfortunate dismissal after his bat accidentally disturbed the stumps during his innings early. Shubman Gill departed cheaply as Gujarat Titans collapsed quickly and slipped dangerously to 51/5 during the chase. RCB bowlers maintained relentless pressure and never allowed Gujarat Titans batters to rebuild the difficult run pursuit. Rahul Tewatia fought bravely with a counterattacking innings of 68 runs for Gujarat Titans during late stages. However, Gujarat Titans eventually folded for 162 runs in 19.3 overs against Bengaluru’s disciplined bowling attack.

RCB’s emphatic playoff victory surpassed Chennai Super Kings’ famous 86-run triumph recorded during IPL 2012 playoffs. Only Rajasthan Royals’ 105-run semifinal victory against Delhi Capitals in 2008 remains bigger than Bengaluru’s latest achievement. Mumbai Indians previously defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 81 runs during the IPL 2023 Eliminator in Chennai. RCB had earlier recorded another major playoff victory after beating Rajasthan Royals by 71 runs during 2015. The Bengaluru franchise now enters the IPL 2026 final carrying strong momentum and tremendous confidence after Qualifier 1. Fans celebrated wildly as RCB moved one step closer toward winning their maiden Indian Premier League championship.
