    Virat Kohli Shares Motivational Post Ahead of Australia ODI Series

    Team India’s star batter Virat Kohli shared a cryptic motivational post on social media before the Australia ODI series. The post read, “The only time you truly fail, is when you decide to give up.” Kohli last played for India in the Champions Trophy final in March 2025. Having retired from Tests and T20Is, he hasn’t featured in any official game since IPL 2025. Fans expect him to return in the first ODI against Australia on Sunday.

    Dinesh Karthik Reveals Virat’s Focus on 2027 World Cup

    Former India cricketer and RCB mentor Dinesh Karthik revealed that Virat aims to play the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup. Karthik said that during his recent break in London, Kohli resumed regular training sessions. He practiced two to three times a week to stay in top form. Karthik emphasized that the 36-year-old batter remains serious and committed to extending his ODI career.

    Kohli’s Stellar ODI Record and Success in Australia

    Virat Kohli is India’s second-highest run-scorer in ODIs with 14,181 runs in 302 matches. He averages 57.88 with a strike rate above 93, including 51 centuries and 74 fifties. In 2025 alone, Kohli scored 275 runs in seven innings, including one century and two fifties. His Champions Trophy performance earlier this year included 218 runs in five matches, featuring a ton against Pakistan and 84 versus Australia. Kohli also thrives in Australian conditions, amassing 1,327 runs in 29 ODIs at an average of 51.03, with five centuries and six half-centuries to his name.
