Anthropic has launched a new joint venture worth $1.5 billion in partnership with major Wall Street firms such as Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs. This new venture will operate as an AI services company. It will focus on selling advanced AI tools to businesses, especially mid-sized companies, and help them integrate these tools into their daily operations.
The company plans to use its Claude AI models to support businesses in improving efficiency and decision-making. By offering tailored AI solutions, the venture aims to make it easier for companies to adopt and use artificial intelligence without building systems from scratch. Reports suggest that Anthropic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman will each invest around $300 million, while Goldman Sachs is expected to contribute about $150 million to the project.
This move may increase competition in the software services market. Companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, and Wipro currently offer software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions. However, the new AI-focused services from Anthropic could challenge their business models. Clients may find it easier to access ready-to-use AI tools with customized features through this new venture.
At the same time, OpenAI is also reportedly working on a similar standalone AI services firm. This indicates a growing trend where AI companies are moving beyond technology development and entering the services space. With strong financial backing and advanced technology, these ventures could expand quickly and attract a wide range of clients. This shift may reshape the global IT services industry in the coming years.

Anthropic New AI Venture to Drive Enterprise Adoption
Anthropic said its new joint venture will focus on designing, building, and maintaining AI systems for businesses. The company will initially work with firms linked to its investment partners, as well as independent companies that can benefit from AI integration.
The venture aims to speed up AI adoption among mid-sized businesses. Its teams will identify where Claude AI can add the most value, develop custom tools, and provide ongoing support. The company will also work closely with Anthropic’s engineers to help clients integrate Claude models into their operations smoothly and effectively.
