    Since its release, Dhurandhar has stormed the box office, dominating audience buzz and pushing other new releases into the background. As the film continues its strong theatrical run, industry attention has shifted to how its success could impact upcoming titles. One such release is Rahu Ketu, a comedy starring Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, scheduled to hit theatres on January 16.

    During recent promotions, members of the Rahu Ketu team addressed questions about whether Dhurandhar’s massive success could affect their film’s prospects. Responding to the speculation, Pulkit Samrat said the outcome ultimately depends on the audience and urged viewers to step into theatres and watch their film. Actor Manu Rishi, who also stars in Rahu Ketu, shared a similar view, calling their film an equally “dhurandhar” entertainer. He added that most viewers who wanted to watch Dhurandhar have already seen it and that it is now time for audiences to give Rahu Ketu a chance.

While some users said they would continue choosing Dhurandhar over any other release—claiming the film is worth multiple repeat viewings—others admitted they were unaware of Rahu Ketu and preferred revisiting Dhurandhar in theatres. A section of users, however, criticised the remarks, calling them stereotypical and dismissive.

    ‘Dhurandhar’ mania spreads, setting the stage for a strong theatrical run


    Released on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar has rewritten box office records. The film continues to post double-digit collections in its second and third weeks, with worldwide earnings crossing ₹1,200 crore. In the process, it has overtaken major blockbusters such as RRR, Kantara Chapter 1 and KGF 2, while also eclipsing newer releases including Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Ikkis.

    Vipul Vig directed the film, with Umesh Kumar Bansal, Pragati Deshmukh, Suraj Singh and Varsha Kukreja producing it under the banners of Zee Studios and B Live Productions. Rahu Ketu stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Shalini Pandey and Chunky Panday, and is set for a theatrical release on January 16, 2026.
