Nida Khan to Seek Anticipatory Bail Claims Pregnancy

Amid allegations of being the ‘mastermind’ in the Nashik IT firm sexual abuse case,Nida Khan TCS employee plans to seek anticipatory bail in a sessions court, her lawyer Baba Sayyed said. “We will file the application in a couple of days,” he told HT.

Meanwhile, Khan’s name has surfaced in the alleged sexual abuse and religious coercion case at a BPO linked to TCS in Nashik. The case came to light after Nashik police registered an FIR based on a complaint by a 23-year-old employee. She accused her senior colleague, Danish Shaikh, of sexual harassment and of having a relationship under the false promise of marriage.

Furthermore, police registered the case under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These include Section 69 for sex obtained on a false promise to marry and Section 75 for sexual harassment. In addition, they invoked Section 299 for insulting religion and Section 3(5) for joint liability.

Out of nine FIRs, police named Khan in one filed at Devlali Police Station on March 26. The FIR relates to alleged religious harassment. Meanwhile, police have arrested around eight people so far. However, they allege that Khan, described as the HR head, is absconding. In contrast, her family said she is pregnant and staying at home. They also denied claims that she is on the run.

Finally, police have described HR manager Nida Khan as the alleged mastermind. They claim she tried to suppress the complaint and shield the accused.

Nida Khan’s Family Denies Police Allegations in Nashik Case

Rejecting allegations that she acted as the ‘mastermind’, Nida Khan’s family said she joined the BPO in December 2021 as a telecaller, not as a Human Resources employee, and did not hold any senior position.

“My daughter has not done any of these things. She went to work every day and is now facing trouble just for greeting people,” her father told HT.

Her brother added that someone took her photograph from Instagram and circulated it on social media after falsely labelling her as the ‘HR head’ of the TCS-linked BPO’s Nashik unit. He said the same image continues to spread online with misleading claims.
