    The Madhya Pradesh government on Friday recommended a CBI investigation into Twisha Sharma’s alleged dowry death case. Twisha Sharma, a resident of Noida, reportedly died at her matrimonial home located in Bhopal recently. The state Home Department issued an official notification confirming consent for transferring the investigation to the CBI. Authorities decided the transfer after growing public attention and demands for a transparent investigation into the matter. Officials stated that the premier central agency would now conduct further inquiries and legal proceedings independently.

    State Government Hands Over Case to CBI

    The notification clarified that the state government exercised powers under the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946. Acting in the Governor’s name, officials granted formal permission for CBI officers to investigate throughout Madhya Pradesh. The order also empowered investigators to examine every aspect connected with the alleged dowry death incident carefully. Authorities included criminal conspiracy allegations, abetment charges, and supporting evidence within the investigation’s expanded legal jurisdiction. Officials emphasized that investigators would receive full administrative support during the upcoming transition process across concerned departments.

    Home Department Secretary Krishnaveni Deshavatu signed the official notification authorizing the immediate transfer of the investigation process. The department simultaneously forwarded copies of the order to several senior central and state government authorities. Officials sent the notification to the Department of Personnel and Training and the Union Home Secretary. Authorities also informed the CBI Director in New Delhi regarding the state government’s formal approval decision. Senior police officials in Madhya Pradesh received instructions to cooperate fully with central investigators during future proceedings.

    Twisha Sharma Dowry Death Case

    The state government additionally directed the Bhopal administration and police department to assist the central agency promptly. Officials forwarded copies of the notification to the Bhopal District Magistrate and the Police Commissioner immediately afterward. Regional CBI officers stationed in Bhopal also received detailed communication regarding the upcoming investigation responsibilities and coordination. Authorities stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and ensuring fair legal proceedings throughout the sensitive investigation process. Officials believe the CBI probe will strengthen public confidence and address concerns raised by Twisha Sharma’s family members.

    The case has attracted widespread public attention because allegations connected the death with dowry-related harassment and abuse. Family members reportedly demanded an independent investigation and stricter legal action against individuals linked with the incident. The government’s recommendation for a CBI investigation marked a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings recently.
