CCTV Footage Highlights Child’s Distress Before the Incident

According to the CCTV footage, Amayra entered her classroom in a cheerful and normal mood. She greeted her classmates and actively participated in a dance session. However, after returning to the classroom, her behavior reportedly changed following an interaction with a few students who were using digital slates. The footage allegedly shows her becoming uncomfortable and distracted. She gradually stopped focusing on her classroom activities and appeared visibly disturbed.

The video also reportedly shows Amayra approaching her class teacher several times within an hour. Her family claims she was trying to explain what had upset her, but her concerns were not addressed. According to the allegations, other students interrupted her attempts to speak, and the teacher asked her to return to her seat instead of speaking with her separately. The footage allegedly captures the child showing signs of anxiety and emotional distress. Her family believes these moments reflected her need for immediate support.

Family Alleges Bullying and Negligence, Demands Strict Action

Soon after, the CCTV footage shows Amayra leaving the classroom alone and walking through the corridor toward the staircase. No staff member reportedly stopped or followed her as she moved from the ground floor to the fourth floor. She allegedly jumped from the school building and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Her family has demanded strict legal action against the class teacher, school principal, and chairman. They have also alleged that the police failed to take adequate action in the initial stages of the investigation.

A CBSE inspection conducted after the incident reportedly identified shortcomings in the school’s student safety measures. The board issued a show-cause notice after finding gaps in supervision and safety procedures. The inspection report also stated that Amayra had allegedly faced bullying for nearly 18 months and that previous complaints from her parents were not handled effectively. Statements collected from teachers, students, and family members described Amayra as a bright, cheerful, and active student. The findings have intensified demands for accountability and stronger child safety measures in schools.
