A private school van carrying four children fell off the road in Ghaziabad on Thursday morning while transporting four DAV School students to their school in Pratap Vihar.
According to police, the driver, Lakhan, suddenly lost control of the vehicle near Sant Chowk in Pratap Nagar at around 7:30 a.m. The van became unbalanced before leaving the road and falling into a nearby roadside ditch. Fortunately, all four children, aged around 13 and 14, escaped the accident without any reported injuries. The children had been travelling together in the privately arranged van, which their families had jointly organised for their daily transportation to school.

Children Reach School Safely After Accident, Police Probe Private Van
Local residents quickly gathered at the scene after hearing the commotion and helped ensure the children remained safe until authorities and school representatives arrived. The children later continued their journey and reached their school safely, according to police officials. Authorities contacted the parents, who then arrived at the location. Police confirmed that the school did not operate the van and that the children’s families had privately arranged it for their daily transportation.
Officials also said that the vehicle did not overturn, which helped prevent potentially more serious injuries. Although the incident caused panic among nearby residents, authorities confirmed that there were no deaths or injuries among the four children. Police examined the circumstances surrounding the accident and recorded details about the private vehicle. The incident has highlighted concerns about the use of privately arranged vehicles for transporting schoolchildren, while authorities continue to review the circumstances. The families remained relieved that all four children escaped the accident safely and without injury.
