Actor-musician Diljit Dosanjh unveiled his first look from Anurag Singh’s upcoming film Border 2 on Monday. The highly anticipated sequel will see Sunny Deol reprise his iconic role from the 1997 hit Border. In the first look, Diljit appears in a pilot uniform, flying a jet amid a war, with enemy planes targeting him in the background. The intense image shows Diljit covered in blood, wearing a determined expression. T-Series, the film’s producers, shared the look on social media with the caption, “Iss desh ke aasmaan mein Guru ke baaz pehra dete hain” (Guru’s falcons are hoisted in this country’s sky). Suniel Shetty, who starred in the original film, showed his appreciation by posting clapping and heart emojis.

Diljit Dosanjh also shared a video of himself in the pilot uniform, with the classic song “Sandesa Aaya Hai” from Border playing in the background. Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, serves as a sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 hit Border, which focused on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The original film featured stars like Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
Border 2 Star Cast Set for 2026 Release
Border 2 features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa in lead roles. Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta produce the film, which T-Series presents in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. Like its predecessor, the sequel will highlight the courage and sacrifices of Indian soldiers in defending the nation. Set for release on January 23, 2026, during the Republic Day weekend, Border 2 has already sparked excitement with the release of Sunny and Varun’s first looks, which have received positive reactions.
