    Kantara: Chapter 1′ created a box office storm, opening with a massive Rs 61.85 crore and quickly crossing Rs 220 crore within four days. The multi-language release, especially its Hindi version, performed exceptionally well, securing its spot among the year’s top 10 highest-grossing films despite a more regional pan-India appeal.

    Kantara in hindi version creating Havoc

    ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ created a storm at the box office as it released on Thursday, October 2. The film clashed at the box office with Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. However, there’s a huge difference in the budgets, release scale of both the movies. Not to mention, ‘Kantara’ is already a huge franchise now as the first part got an overwhelming response. But now this latest installment has surpassed expectations. The film released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. Interestingly, the Hindi version of the film has done a great business.

    Kantara Collection till day 5

    ‘Kantara’ had an opening of a whopping Rs 61.85 crore at the box office on day 1. Out of this, Rs 19.6 crore came from the Kannada version, while the Telugu version made Rs 13 crore. The Hindi version of the film mined Rs 18.5 crore. It made Rs 5.5 crore and Rs 5.25 crore in the Tamil and Malayalam version respectively. The film saw a drop on day 2 and overall in all languages made Rs 45.4 crore. But there was a jump again over the weekend. Within a span of 4 days, the film crossed Rs 220 crore which is huge. With this. With this, ‘Kantara’ is now in the top 10 highest grossing movies of the year. The film has surpassed Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’, Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’.
