Graphic Era Hospital doctors confirmed that 24-year-old Tripura student Angel Chakma suffered critical head, back, and spinal injuries during a violent assault in Dehradun. The medical report, accessed by India Today TV, stated that Angel had deep lacerations on his back and the occipital region of his head, along with multiple abrasions on his foot. Doctors observed complete loss of power on the right side of his body, affecting both upper and lower limbs, along with sensory impairment.

Graphic Era Hospital Report Confirms Severe Injuries to Student Angel Chakma
The incident occurred on December 9 in the Selakui police station area after Angel and his brother Michael Chakma allegedly faced racial abuse at a roadside canteen. When they objected, a group of intoxicated men attacked Angel with a sharp-edged weapon and a kada, leaving him critically injured. Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh said the accused were under the influence of alcohol and the situation escalated rapidly. The report also confirmed spinal cord damage and fissures in the brain. Angel remained under treatment for over 17 days before he succumbed to his injuries on December 26.
