Pennsylvania [US], April 24 (ANI): Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi joined the International Hall of Fame at the US Army War College, becoming the third Indian Army Chief after General V K Singh and General Bikram Singh to receive the honour. During his visit, he addressed faculty and international officers on leadership, professional military education, and evolving global security challenges, highlighting the importance of adaptive and future-ready armed forces.
The Indian Army said General Dwivedi, a Distinguished Fellow and alumnus of the War College, toured key facilities and actively participated in academic engagements, including panel discussions and reviews of advanced research projects under the scholars’ programme. He also interacted with senior members of the institution, strengthening professional exchanges. Earlier, on April 21, he received a Guard of Honour at Fort Shafter during his visit to the United States Army Pacific, where he continues engagements aimed at enhancing India-US defence cooperation and operational understanding.

Army: Dwivedi Accorded Guard of Honour, Holds Key US Talks
The Indian Army said General Upendra Dwivedi received a Guard of Honour at Fort Shafter during his visit to the United States Army Pacific. He held talks with General Ronald P. Clark and other senior leaders to enhance India-US defence cooperation and promote stability in the Indo-Pacific region. He also undertook an aerial tour of Oahu, where he assessed the training ecosystem and multi-domain operational preparedness.
Indian Ambassador to the United States Vinay Mohan Kwatra hosted General Dwivedi at India House ahead of his scheduled engagements in Washington, D.C.. The Indian Embassy said the visit reflects ongoing high-level military-to-military exchanges between India and the United States, while also highlighting deepening strategic ties and growing defence collaboration. The visit forms part of broader efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and improve coordination on regional and global security challenges.
