The Bharatiya Janata Party is using Honey Singh’s recovery story to strengthen its anti-drug message in AAP-ruled Punjab. Chugh said the singer’s comeback from addiction could inspire young people battling drugs to rebuild their lives. However, Honey Singh has not formally joined the BJP. Chugh honoured him with a shawl during the meeting.
