US President Donald Trump on Thursday signaled the possibility of a “very big” trade deal with India. His remarks followed a four-day round of closed-door talks between American and Indian negotiators. While addressing the ‘Big Beautiful Event’ at the White House, Trump said, “We have one coming up, maybe with India. Very big one. Everybody wants to make a deal and have a part of it.”

Trump emphasized that while the US won’t sign deals with everyone, India remains a top priority for a comprehensive agreement. “We’re not going to make deals with everybody. Some we’ll just send a letter to thank you very much, you’ll pay 25, 35, or 45 percent. But with India, we are exploring something great,” he added.
