    England dominated the West Indies in the third and final T20I of the series at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, on June 10, securing a comprehensive 37-run victory and completing a clean sweep. After winning the toss, the West Indies elected to field, allowing England to bat first.

    England started strong with openers Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett setting an impressive foundation. Smith scored a quick 60 runs while Duckett contributed a solid 84, helping England post a formidable opening partnership. Jos Buttler then added a valuable 22 runs, supported by unbeaten knocks from Harry Brook and Jacob Bethell, who scored 35 and 36 runs respectively. England finished their innings with a mammoth total of 248 runs, putting significant pressure on the West Indies.

    The West Indies bowling attack made some breakthroughs, with Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, and Akeal Hosein each taking a wicket. However, the target proved daunting for the visitors.

    Rovman Powell’s Efforts Fall Short as England Clinch Series Sweep

    West Indies began their chase with Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles, but both fell early for 9 runs each, putting the team under immediate pressure. Shai Hope stepped up to stabilize the innings with a quickfire 45 runs from 27 balls. Shimron Hetmyer contributed a rapid 26 runs off just 8 deliveries, injecting some momentum into the chase. Despite these efforts, the dismissal of Sherfane Rutherford for just 1 run further weakened the Windies’ hopes.

    Rovman Powell played a determined innings, remaining unbeaten on 79 runs off 45 balls. Unfortunately, his efforts alone could not overcome England’s dominant performance. The rest of the West Indies batters struggled to keep up with the required run rate, and the team fell short, managing only 211 runs.

    England’s powerful batting and disciplined bowling ensured their victory by 37 runs, securing their third consecutive win in the series. With this performance, England not only sealed the match but also swept the West Indies in the T20I series, showcasing their dominance throughout the contest.
