Paper Rex (PRX) emerged victorious at VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025, defeating Fnatic in an intense Grand Final to secure their first international trophy. Entering from the upper playoffs bracket, PRX held the map veto advantage and used it strategically. They banned Haven and Ascent, choosing to play on Sunset—one of Fnatic’s historically weaker maps. Although Fnatic surprised fans with a solid pistol-round win on defense, PRX quickly adapted. Their aggressive plays led to eight consecutive round wins on attack. Despite Fnatic’s efforts in the second half, PRX’s smart Sage wall strategy sealed the map 13-11.
On Icebox, Fnatic’s Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski stepped up after a slow start. His 11 first picks proved crucial as Fnatic recovered from a tough first half. PRX had prepared well for Fnatic’s Sage tactics, but they couldn’t stop Fnatic’s relentless post-plant retakes. As the map headed into overtime, both teams traded clutch plays and missteps under pressure. Kaajak’s precision proved decisive once again as Fnatic edged out the map 17-15.

Fnatic carried their momentum into Pearl, a map they traditionally avoided. Emir “Alfajer” Beder dominated the first half on Neon, leading to a 7-5 advantage. However, PRX responded with superior macro plays and aggressive site control. Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie’s explosive Judge kills in the second half turned the tide, helping PRX claim Pearl 13-10.
On the final map, Lotus, PRX maintained early control with a strong defense. Fnatic attempted to match PRX’s pace, but after another close half, the Pacific squad accelerated. Fnatic forced overtime with clutch plays, but PRX held firm. A stunning 2v4 post-plant win gave PRX a 14-12 victory and the championship.
With 81 kills, 75 deaths, and a 223 ACS, Jason “f0rsaken” Susanto earned the Masters Toronto MVP title, cementing PRX’s dominance on the global stage.
