N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for a major AI data centre project by Google in Visakhapatnam on April 28, 2026. This project marks one of the largest foreign direct investments in India and highlights the country’s growing focus on advanced digital infrastructure.
The company will build the data centre at Tarluvada, on the outskirts of the city. The project will cover around 601.4 acres of land. The event saw the presence of key leaders and officials. Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the ceremony along with senior executives from Google Cloud.
