    Bharti Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom operator, has launched an AI-powered Fraud Detection Solution to protect its 38 crore users from the rising threat of online scams. With the rapid increase in internet usage and smartphone penetration, cybercrimes such as phishing, scam calls, and malicious links have surged across the country. Airtel’s new system aims to tackle these challenges directly by automatically detecting and blocking harmful websites and scam links in real time.

    The fraud detection tool scans multiple digital platforms, including OTT apps, emails, WhatsApp, web browsers, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, and SMS, to provide comprehensive protection. This instant alert helps users avoid falling victim to scams without requiring any manual intervention.

    Airtel Automatically Activates AI-Based Fraud Protection for All Customers to Combat Rising Cyber Threats

    Airtel rolls out this protection automatically to all its mobile and broadband customers at no extra cost. Users do not have to install any additional app or perform any extra steps to activate the service, making it seamless and user-friendly.

    To counter the growing cybercrime threat, Airtel has developed a multi-layered threat detection system that uses AI-driven domain filtering and real-time link blocking. The system continuously updates itself to recognize new scam tactics, ensuring users receive up-to-date protection.

    Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel, stated, “In recent years, we have witnessed many cases where customers unknowingly became victims of cyber scams. Our engineers developed this fraud detection solution to ensure our users stay fully protected while browsing the internet.”
