Mumbai-based orthopaedic surgeon and health educator Dr. Manan Vora has identified eight everyday habits that silently harm your organs. In an Instagram video posted on September 18, he explains how habits like rubbing your eyes, overeating, and prolonged sitting affect different organs in the body.

Daily Habits That Harm Your Body

Dr. Manan Vora highlights several common habits that quietly damage your organs. Breathing through your mouth dries out airways and increases infection risk. Sitting for long hours reduces blood circulation and strains the heart. Frequently rubbing your eyes can harm the cornea and affect vision. Overeating and eating too fast disrupt digestion, while heavy late-night meals burden the liver and slow metabolism. Staying hydrated is crucial since not drinking enough water raises the risk of kidney stones and strain. Constant multitasking lowers focus and weakens memory, and listening to loud music through earphones for long periods may cause permanent hearing loss.
