The proposed party will seek to provide an alternative for people who feel dissatisfied with existing political parties and institutions.
Chandra Kumar Bose Political Journey
Chandra Kumar Bose has remained active in politics through his association with the BJP and the Trinamool Congress. He joined the BJP in 2016 but resigned from the party in 2023 after waiting for the promised creation of an Azad Hind Morcha. Bose says the platform would have promoted Netaji’s ideology within the BJP and allowed him to take the message across India. He later joined the Trinamool Congress ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections. Bose says the TMC had offered him an opportunity to work on Netaji’s political legacy. However, he later resigned from the party, citing personal reasons and expressing dissatisfaction with mainstream political practices.
Bose has linked the proposed party to growing frustration among young Indians over corruption and governance. He says corruption has affected important sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure and industry. According to him, young people have become increasingly dissatisfied with governments, administrative systems and political institutions. He believes they need a political platform where they can raise their concerns and fight for their rights. Bose says the recent Gen Z protests at Jantar Mantar have demonstrated the willingness of young Indians to speak out. He sees the protests as an indication of growing political awareness and wants the Azad Hind Party to channel this energy into constructive political participation.

Party to Focus on Youth
Bose says the Azad Hind Party will primarily focus on young people and citizens who support progressive, inclusive and secular politics. According to Bose, the party will use Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s political philosophy as a guiding principle for its activities. He believes young Indians should receive greater opportunities to participate directly in politics instead of limiting themselves to expressing dissatisfaction with existing systems. The proposed organisation will therefore seek to create a platform where youth can raise issues, participate in decision-making and contribute to nation-building. Bose believes growing youth frustration could become an important force for political change.
The proposed Azad Hind Party will face the challenge of converting youth dissatisfaction and Netaji’s legacy into sustained electoral support. Bose’s decision comes after his departure from both the BJP and the Trinamool Congress in recent years. His new initiative represents another attempt to establish an independent political identity based on Netaji’s ideology.
