The BCCI has scheduled 22 matches across 17 venues for India’s 2026–27 home season, announcing the full itinerary on Thursday. India will kick off the season in September with a white-ball series against the West Indies, featuring five T20Is and three ODIs. After touring New Zealand, the team will resume its home fixtures, leading up to the high-profile Border-Gavaskar Trophy from January 21 to March 3 next year. The board has also confirmed multiple key venues for the marquee Test series, heightening anticipation for the contest.

India will also host Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka for white-ball series during the busy home season, alongside the tours by West Indies and Australia. The West Indies tour will include three ODIs followed by five T20Is, with the 50-over matches scheduled in Trivandrum, Guwahati and New Chandigarh. The T20Is will take place in Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Through this extended itinerary, the BCCI aims to spread matches across diverse venues and engage fans nationwide.

Schedule: Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe White-Ball Series Fixtures Announced

India will host Sri Lanka in December 2026 for a white-ball series featuring three ODIs and three T20Is. The team will play the ODIs in Delhi, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, while Rajkot, Cuttack and Pune will stage the T20Is. At the start of 2027, Zimbabwe will tour India for a three-match ODI series in January, with matches scheduled in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai. This schedule maintains a steady run of limited-overs cricket leading into the marquee Test assignments later in the season.

India will conclude the season with the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a five-Test series against Australia starting in Nagpur. The series will then move to Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi and Ahmedabad, setting up a high-profile contest between two of cricket’s top teams. Notably, Kolkata — known for the iconic 2001 Test — has not hosted an India–Australia Test match since. This venue lineup highlights a diverse spread of host cities for one of the sport’s biggest rivalries.
