The Delhi High Court has frozen the bank accounts and cryptocurrency holdings of late businessman Sunjay Kapur. The court gave this order during an ongoing dispute over his estate, which is worth nearly Rs 30,000 crore.
Sunjay Kapur died in London in June last year. His third wife, Priya Sachdeva Kapur, and his children, Kiaan and Samaira, are now fighting over his assets.
Kiaan and Samaira, children from his second marriage with actor Karisma Kapoor, accused Priya Kapur of submitting a fake will in Sunjay Kapur’s name. They also said she gave the court an incomplete list of his assets.

They claimed that the list missed valuable items like expensive polo horses and luxury watches from brands such as Audemars Piguet and Rolex. They believe these items were hidden from the court.
The court said the assets must stay protected and should not be sold until the case ends. It also said Priya Kapur must prove that the will is genuine, while noting that Karisma Kapoor’s children have presented a strong initial case.
