A major controversy erupted in Hardoi, UP (Uttar Pradesh), after Sunbeam School principal Mamta Mishra shouted at parents on camera. The parents questioned the rule of buying books only from selected vendors instead of cheaper outside shops.
In the viral video, Mamta Mishra shouted “Shut up!” and “Get lost!” and asked the parents to leave the school campus. She also told staff members to take them out, which increased criticism on social media.
The issue became more serious when reports said she asked parents to remove their child’s name from the school if they refused to follow the book policy. This statement angered many parents and raised concerns about the school’s behavior.

UP Principal Mamta Mishra Faces Backlash Over Parents Clash
As the controversy grew, Mamta Mishra shared a clarification video. She said some parents pressured her to reduce the monthly school fee of ₹1,300, which made her lose her temper.
She also explained that the incident happened during a government vaccination programme at the school. The school had already informed parents through WhatsApp, and staff members were ready to manage the children.
